CompassCare Assistant Dress Code
Employees should look neat, clean and well-groomed and should be dressed appropriately for the working environment. Employees are expected to use good judgment in their appearance and grooming, keeping in mind the nature of the work, their own safety, the safety of co-workers and clients, and their need to interact with the public.
All staff wear business casual dress attire. Clothing shall be clean, neat, pressed, and well maintained.
All CCAs (CompassCare Assistants) are to wear the company polo shirt.
Black and khaki pants are always safe.
Bra straps and underwear should be completely hidden. Make sure your chest, belly and legs are completely covered. No excessive cleavage is allowed. Clothes should be loose, not too tight.
Tank tops, tee-shirts, sweatpants, leggings and yoga pants are not allowed.
Shoes should be conservative and comfortable. Closed toe shoes should be worn for personal safety and infection control while providing client care.
No heels, flip flops, or sandals.
House shoes are required when inside the client's home.
Employees are expected to keep their hair dry, neat, and clean. Long hair must be pulled back and styled so it will not come in contact with the client if you are providing personal care or leaning over. Mustaches and beards must be clean and trimmed.
No perfume should be worn. Strong odors can be offensive to clients.
Headphones of any kind are strictly prohibited while working.
Jewelry represents a safety hazard, so it must be worn with discretion, i.e., wedding rings, rings without large mountings, small earrings or studs.
Visible piercings, except for one pair of earrings, should be removed when providing client care.
Both professionalism and safety should be considered when wearing jewelry.
Tattoos should be covered up so that they are not visible to the client when providing care.
Fingernails are to be kept clean, trimmed, and moderately short for client safety.
Compass Care employees must keep natural nail tips to ¼ inch of length or less and are prohibited from wearing artificial fingernails.
Employees should shower on a regular basis and take other measures to eliminate body odors.
Compass Care employees will try to meet the requests of clients or primary caregivers within reason.
Our best feature is our SMILE and the most important part of the CompassCare dress code!

Dear Compass Care Colleagues,
Compass Care has been proud to be able to support employees through the COVID-19 crisis with the COVID-19 Paid Time Off Policy.
